Our community generously donates food items for The House of Welcome

During Term 2, the Domremy community generously donated food items for The House of Welcome. The House of Welcome exists to welcome, shelter and empower people who are seeking asylum and refugees, regardless of their age, gender, nationality or religion. They provide client-centred holistic support that nurtures hope, advocates for justice and promotes self-reliance, whilst acknowledging the dignity and the rights of each individual. The food collected for the hampers not only allows those seeking asylum and refugees to have food, but also provides them with a sense of dignity by providing choice and a shopping experience, purchasing grocery items of their choice. The Domremy community filled 50 boxes with food items. Thank you to everyone who kindly donated. It’s great to see the generosity of our greater Domremy community.
